Tilleke and Gibbins Textile Collection

The law firm of Tilleke and Gibbins has one of the largest and most impressive textile collections in Thailand. The focus is on Southeast Asian textiles with the majority of them stored in a suitable manner. However, many of these adorn the walls of the firm’s offices and are circulated, so that various hidden treasures become available to viewers. Tilleke and Gibbins has recently done so, and now members and friends of the Thai Textile Society will be able to see them in their new location within the office premises.  Curator Wipawee Tiyawes will guide us through the halls and office chambers and explain what the hanging pieces are. This is an opportunity not to be missed.
